How can we enhance our uniqueness in a complex world like today's? By cultivating self-determination: that slow and precious process of change that leads us to reaffirm, in a new light, our peculiar characteristics. Meteore is a multidisciplinary journey in search of our virtues, following the compass of innovation. Digital, green, economy and work are the central themes, addressed from a new perspective thanks to the collaboration of the meteors, illustrious personalities who, in the same way as those who mark our lives with their passage, will animate the narration of the text on the most important themes of contemporary life.

How do the climate, demographics and technologies we have today tie together in a Gordian knot? To face the challenge of the future. Climate change fuels large migrations and requires a technological contribution to safeguard our habitat. And who, if not politics and the institutions that hold the power to legislate, will be able to untie this intricate knot that is emblematic of the current historical period? Following these four key words - climate, demography, technology and politics - and with the contribution of important names from the economic, scientific and cultural scene of my country such as Giorgio Arfaras, Costantino De Blasi, Davide Giacalone, Mimosa Martini and Luca Romano, we will try to describe the problems and propose different solutions, to cut the Gordian knot, from that easy and dry sword stroke that, according to legend, was the choice of Alexander the Great. Faced with the turning point of this 21st century, I believe the time has come to cooperate to bring about change in the name of humanity.

From Guilford's original theory of self-determination to Gardner's psychological revolution on multiple intelligences, up to Black's theory of "noise": the Code of Self-Determination is a short essay that aims to review the false beliefs about our limits, placing the emphasis on the potential of a varied and multifaceted human intelligence. A "multidisciplinary vision" is necessary in an increasingly complex and difficult to decode world. A first step towards self-determination that becomes more conscious thanks to a heterogeneous training and an interdisciplinary approach of humanistic inspiration.
